Mix & Match Your Earrings!

Mix & Match Your Earrings!

This week, I'd like to share some ideas about layering earrings with second holes and drop earrings. If you have second holes, you can easily add personality and fun to any outfit by experimenting with different earring styles. Some people may feel that dangle earrings are too dressy, but this can be easily remedied by choosing the right size and drop length.

For a more casual look, try choosing fun earrings with multiple colors and pairing them with a colorful jumper or jacket, or a T-shirt and jeans. If you want to add some movement to your outfit, sweep your hair up and add statement drops that swing with movement. This can elevate your look from casual to dressy, and is perfect for work or special occasions. Adding diamond studs to your second hole can add some extra sparkle, or you could opt for a color stone stud to add interest and tie your outfit together.

When it comes to pairing earrings and necklaces, my rule of thumb is to make sure the metal color matches, unless it's a two-tone set. If you're wearing dangle earrings in a particular color, such as amethyst with diamond accents, it's perfectly fine to pair them with a diamond pendant. Don't overthink it too much, and sometimes it's nice to not be too matchy-matchy.

The more you add to your jewelry wardrobe, the more versatile you'll become with layering earrings. If you're looking to expand your collection, come take a look at our color selection and start experimenting with layering your earrings today!
