How to Choose Your Favorite Gemstone for Spring!

How To Choose Your Favorite Gemstone For Spring!

By: Jessica

In our previous blog, we discussed the art of accessorizing with color gemstone jewelry. This week, we'd like to delve deeper into the topic of color by sharing what our staff loves about their birthstones and why. Our guests often share their birthstone preferences while shopping, so we thought it would be fun to share our own birthstone stories.

Grace's birthday falls in June, making her birthstone a Pearl. She adores Pearls for their versatility, ability to complement any outfit, and wide range of colors and shapes. She considers Pearls to be timeless, and we couldn't agree more! However, she also advises that Pearl jewelry should be removed before showering, swimming, or doing the dishes, as Pearls are delicate and susceptible to damage. Although they are grown in water, Pearls are often affixed to jewelry using strong adhesive, so it's essential to handle them with care to maintain their luster and beauty.

My birthday is in August, and my birthstone is Peridot. I love how the vibrant, bright summer grass green hue of Peridot stands out in any setting. It looks especially stunning when paired with yellow gold and complements other colors like orange, purple, pink, and black. I adore wearing Peridot with floral prints, as the green tone is especially flattering. While Peridot isn't as hard as Sapphire, it's still necessary to take good care of this gemstone while wearing it. I didn't always appreciate my birthstone, but now I admire its color and how well it complements my wardrobe. I wear a stunning Peridot piece from our store often, and it's become one of my favorite jewelry items.

Abigail's birthday falls in May, making her birthstone an Emerald. She absolutely adores her birthstone and frequently gravitates towards Emerald jewelry when browsing our cases. Yellow gold is her favorite metal to pair with Emeralds, as it complements the gemstone beautifully. She loves how Emeralds come in a variety of green shades, ranging from deep green to blue-green to mint. She also appreciates the inclusions in Emeralds, which make each piece unique.

We hope you've enjoyed getting to know us a bit better through our birthstone preferences. If you're interested in Birthstone jewelry, we invite you to stop by our store and peruse our carefully selected selection of stunning pieces that can be worn time and time again.
